Jeffrey Begeal began life in upstate New York in 1960.  When his Father retired from the Air Force in 1971, the family moved to Orlando, Florida.  It was at Oak Ridge High School that Jeff first encountered playing soccer.  When he graduated in 1978, He went to Mercer University earning his BA and graduated summa cum laude in 1982. From 1985 to 1988, Jeff earned a MA in History at the University of Central Florida.  He began his teaching career in 1989 in Florida, then in 1992 moved to North Carolina.  He has been teaching Latin and building the IBSNC organization in the state since the 1990s which supports students taking the rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Program for college preparation. Jeff had to put his passion for soccer aside during this hiatus, but came back to the sport he loves in 2009 when he came to High Point Central. He has served as an assistant coach and enjoys announcing the games and running the scoreboard clocks. Jeff has been honored to work with some great student athletes in High Point and looks forward to their continued success in life.
