Monday will be the 1st day of try-outs, from 4:15-5:45. Wednesday is Early Release but we cannot practice until the 3:50. I had to move the parent meeting to Friday because of conflicts on W and TH. Friday we will practice from 4:15-5:45 and then meet in G-210 from 6-7pm. This meeting is mandatory for parents and players. Coach Hicks (Reagan HS) will be at practice and meeting to discuss our fundraiser for this year. Some of the girls mentioned that they would like to purchase hoodies or wind breakers, so this would be a perfect way to raise funds.

Just wanted to share some great news......
Anna Capra made her verbal commitment this week to play @ Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. We are very proud of Anna and wish her the best playing at the next level.

Parents: Tomorrow we are practicing from 4:15-5:45 and then meeting in Gym 210 @ 6pm. I would like to have as many girls and their parents at the meeting, so we can discuss our rules and procedures. Monday we have pictures at 5:10pm and then are having our mandatory sportsmanship meeting with Coach Cook in the gym @ 6pm. Both meetings should not exceed 1 hour (hopefully). Remember to bring or send all forms and 2 proofs of residence. The girls that participated in fall and winter sports do not have to worry about their paperwork. I need to have everything back ASAP. I am meeting with Mike on Monday and hopefully we will have all the girls cleared to play on Thursday vs. Grimsley.

Tomorrow we are leaving Central at 4:15pm for our scrimmage vs. Grimsley HS in Greensboro. Remember everyone rides to and back on the bus. We will need volunteers to bring fruit and drinks for our HOME games. I will go ahead and volunteer for the 1st game vs. Morehead. Here are the dates, just put your name down and I will update the list. Please pass information to the other parents. Fundraiser numbers look very good. I think we can hit our goal by Thursday 3/6/17; 400 boxes.

Congrats to Lauren Dulin for being nominated for the 2017 NCHSAA Heart of a Champion Award. Last year two of our boys were nominated and recognized by the state and Guilford County Schools.
The Heart of a Champion recognizes student-athletes who have participated in at least one varsity sport and remained ejection-free during the school year. These students also exemplify outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship. The recognition ceremony is a luncheon that is sponsored by the NCHSAA Student Services Division and North Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company.

We are leaving at 5:15pm for our away game vs RJ Reynolds @ 7pm. Coach Hicks is collecting all fundraiser checks and money in room G210 on Wednesday. Make sure to make checks out to HPC Blue and White Club.

Tomorrow's game vs East Forsyth will be played @ Cash Elementary; 4700 Old Hollow Rd; Kernersville. Our HOME game vs Western Guilford has been moved from 7pm to 6pm. Cookie Dough delivery/pick up will be this Friday 3-31-17 in the new gym. Coach Hicks and I will have everything set up and ready to be delivered after school.
